- Book Hunt to find different books using the library number system. The Book Hunt game helped the children feel comfortable finding a book on the shelf using the number system.
- Jeopardy Game where the students gave the question to answers based upon popular children's books characters and plots.
3rd Graders:
- Animal Interview where the children picked a favorite animal, found a book about the animal and then answered questions about it. The children presented their answers like a news reporter interviewing for a news show. This taught the students research skills and they practiced public speaking.
2nd Graders:
- Reader's Theater of the popular children's book Bee-Bim-Bop! The students read the book and then some were asked to act it out in front of the class. It was a very cute presentation by the wonderful 2nd graders.
1st Graders:
- Leslie Tryon's book: Albert's Christmas
Kindergarten Class
- The book All About Deer and facts about deer and reindeer
