April celebrates National Volunteer Week and National Poetry Month

So why not celebrate both by writing poems about volunteers? That is exactly what some older children did and Ms. Yamashev posted their short, simple poems on the library bulletin board. Here are our favorites.

Volunteers are so helpful, honest and true
When it's time to clean up
They ask "what am I to do."

Volunteers are awesome
Oh they are so cool
They work at Mary Munford
And they help me too

Volunteers are so awesome
And they NEVER smell like dead opossum

Ms. Yameshev wants to thank her awesome library volunteers:
  • Susan Creasey
  • Toby Rosenthal
  • Ceci Hull
  • Clark and Nicole
  • Lillian Hudgins
  • Emma Gay
  • Elena Marcuse
